Meet The Home CEOs™

Maraya Pearson is the Chief Executive Organizer of Home CEO, Inc. and is the happy wife, step-mom and Home CEO™ for the Pearson Family, in charge of ensuring harmony and organization with the operational aspects of her home. She believes being the Home CEO™ for her family is the best job in the world.

Welcome to the Home CEO™ website! Here we share the tips and tricks we use to get - and keep - our lives in order! As Home CEO's™ we are our household's Chief Organizing Officers, Chief Encouragement Officers and Culinary and Exercise Officers - just to name a few of the hats we wear!

I am a wife, step-mom and individual who cherishes my time at home, where my role is to help cultivate a peaceful environment where creativity and character is nurtured daily. I firmly believe that our homes are one of the most significant places to grow as individuals and learn the art of serving and loving one another.

My passion for home and order has always been an intrinsic part of my nature. As early as I can remember I've been a contributor to the household, whether it be weeding the flowerbeds, mucking the family stable or organizing the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, and more.

I am actively involved with the Dream Center of Tampa, where I serve on the Board.  The Dream Center invests in the lives of children to build the character and self esteem they'll need as future leaders and contributors.  Prior to transitioning as a full time Home CEO™, I served as a strategic projects manager for companies including Accenture and JPMorgan. I earned my Bachelors from the University of Florida and MBA from the University of South Florida.

As a naturally "action oriented" individual, I strive to live "busy but balanced".  I am known for the contrast between my soft voice and my determined, results oriented, no-excuses nature!  As such, I have had to learn the value of maintaining perspective and balance between work and rest. Now I take frequent breaks from the hustle of the week, to recharge my battery (whether it be a soothing cup of tea, a walk with my fabulous husband and our boisterous doggie or a nice long pampering shower).

In my life, I've been blessed to have learned from many special people along the way and I hope that this website serves as a means to "pay it forward" and encourage you in your daily walk as a Home CEO™. Intentionally, the Home CEO™ service is not overly formal or perfectly polished, but instead our goal is just be "real" and "imperfect", fun and lighthearted. We welcome all your comments and emails and we read and respond to every one. Please do let us know your thoughts and share your ideas! You can reach me at maraya@healthyhomeceo.com.

Home CEO™ Jamie Songy - Children & Family Blogger:
I am the daughter of a strong, capable, kind woman who, by herself, raised me to be strong, capable and kind. From an early age, and even before I can remember, my mother stressed the importance of education, self-motivation, and goal setting. Having and maintaining a clean, orderly home was a priority. I can remember, as a child, helping my mother move the furniture away from the wall so that we could clean the wood floors and baseboards completely. She would say, “A job worth doing is worth doing well”.

She not only taught me to organize my room and our home but, also to organize my thoughts, priorities, and goals. Even as a single mother who often worked two, even three jobs, to pay for my education and our home, we sat down together for dinner, and talked; we talked about everything. I learned so much from her during those talks but what resonated with me the strongest was the validation she gave me – I was worthy of having thoughts, worthy of being heard, and worthy of the dreams I had for myself. That gift, and all the others, I now share with my own children.

I am a perpetual listener, helper, encourager, and advice giver. Not only in my career as a marketing executive, but in my personal life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend, I strive to do and give my best. It is my sincerest hope that by sharing my personal story, tips, and tools for living an organized, healthy, joyful life, that you, your family and your home will be impacted for the better.

Jamie currently serves in wider community as a leader of a Gifts and Talents seminar and on the Board of the Firefighters Museum.   She is also actively involved with The Childrens' Home of Tampa.
