  • Hospital Bag Checklist
Use this checklist to prepare your birth hospital bag. A prepared bag takes the stress out of going to the hospital - just grab and go!

Start putting your bag together in no later than week 35 of your pregnancy. Choose a duffel or bag large enough so that you can fit everything and only hold one bag. Also, for an exceptionally comfortable stay in the hospital, feel free to pack those extra "comfort items" such as music, inspirational reading material, a special pillow or pampering items.

Check out our video below on how to pack you bag.  (Warning! If you're looking for the lightest possible bag, this isn't the video for you.  I chose to pack everything I could possibility think of that I might want to make my stay as comfortable as possible and mimic as best I could all the necessities and comforts of home! I can honestly say that I used 90% of what I packed and having all the little niceties such as cute soft PJs and a special going home outfit made a potentially unnerving experience more comforting).

Welcoming baby Alexis Irene on October 8, 2012 was one of the most special moments of my life!  My water broke at 11:15PM a week early and my husband and I rushed out to the hospital. Boy, did it take the panic out of the trip to the hospital having my bag already packed!
