I have fond memories of St. Patrick's Day. Though my family is from New Hampshire, without a drop of Irish blood in our veins, I loved the stories, crafts, and leprechaun hunts that always came around in March. This unit is part of our full year curriculum bundle which is available here, but it is also available as a stand alone unit here.
We began our week with an introduction to clovers, coins, rainbows, and the Irish flag by way of a pattern making game!
I'm going to be real with you here. I hate sweeping and I'm a bit of a penny pincher when it comes to food. Why should I color oats if that could be a perfectly good breakfast tomorrow. Well, this week has changed me. I will gladly sweep up after seeing this little guy smiling and contently playing for over an hour (!!!!!!) while I folded laundry, washed the dishes, and made lunch. Check out our facebook page for a quick how-to video on this.
This little guy is getting so stinkin' smart!
Porter wasn't exactly into the clip cards this week, but he did enjoy tracing all of the numbers. That counts for something, right?
He asked to go to the library every day this week!
"Mommy, that tickles," Porter said as I painted his hand. I am such a sucker for hand print art!
