We counted syllables and did a fun puzzle during our wake up, warm up drills this week.
Just like in out Thanksgiving unit, we had a mini book that practiced handwriting.
We also had a work sheets that built a math driven story!
Least/greatest has been a difficult concept for Kylie to grasp, but if you put it in terms of what she likes (candy!) its as easy as pie! ...or candy.
I may be a little biased, but check out our Facebook page for a super cute video of Kylie singing during this activity. She sorted flash cards in order for The 12 Days Of Christmas.
We had a great time learning about Christmas traditions from around the world! We actually celebrate Saint Nicholas day in our house so Kylie really enjoyed the France card.
**Home CEO Hack** As an extension activity, we jumped on YouTube and listened to Christmas songs from around the world!

This unit offers a great selection of Christmas books to read. Some favorites in our house are How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Suess, Pete the Cat Saves Christmas by Eric Litwin, and Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree by Robert Barry.
Have a wonderful Christmas!!
