- An Example of an Actual Annual Plan2012-01-13 Posted by HomeCEOEvery year, I espouse the need to do an annual plan. This year, it occurred to me that it might be helpful to show what one looks like. So although it's very personal to me, I have scanned part of my annual plan, my 2012 Personal & Family Goals for your perusal. As you can see, there is nothing complicated about it. In fact, it's quite simple! My goals almost seem, at first glance, elementary or basic or maybe even rudimentary. But that's also what makes them powerful. Here's what works about this kind of a plan. 1) I center my goals a... read more
The Dilemma of “Doing”2011-09-27 Posted by HomeCEOAs we are organizing our life priorities and goals, I want to pause a moment and reflect on a tendency in myself that others, perhaps, may share as well. As women, we always want to maximize our talents. We want to do more and be more and when we want to ... read more

To make a Family Reference Binder, all you need is a 2-inch three ring binder, 8-12 tab dividers, 5-10 sheet protectors and access to a printer o... read more

Home CEO Maraya’s Favorite Workout Clothes2011-09-21 Posted by HomeCEOWhen you workout several times a week, you develop certain "go to" looks. For me, my essential "uniform" consists of tight black sports capris, a sports bra, a fitted one-colored tank top and my (always Asics) tennies. ... read more - Home CEO’s Current Fitness Program2011-09-14 Posted by HomeCEOTo stay in shape, I am currently participating in Beachbody's 60-Day . I prove you don't have to be a big buff dude or a fitness extraordinaire to do these workouts. I decided to do the INSANITY program because I wanted to increase my level of intensity in my workouts and to be more cardiovascularly conditioned. I currently struggle with intensity in ... read more

- The Miniskirt Memorial2011-09-16 Posted by HomeCEOThis just in! Home CEO Maraya's Abercrombie and Fitch jean miniskirt has announced its official retirement from the Home CEO wardrobe! While fans are speculating, we can't say exactly what prompted his retirement - but some say it has to do with general timing. "It just wasn't a fit for the team at this point in our journey," Maraya remarked, when asked about the turn of events. Insiders note that the miniskirt hadn't been a part of the wardrobe for that long. In fact, it had only joined the ... read more
- Labor Day in the Garden2011-09-05 Posted by HomeCEOI woke up this fine Labor Day morning refreshed from a good ole nine hours of sleep. I paired a crisply ironed RL tee with some Abercrombie skinny jeans and prepared to meet the day. Circumstances serendipitously came together to allow me to have the whole house to myself this morning. My son spent the night with the next door neighbors' kid and my daughter spent the night with her best friend. (Hardy and I got to share an unexpected evening alone yesterday and it was wonderful). My Labor Day isn't packed full of socializing. I got that out of my system yesterday at c... read more
- Pool Waves2011-08-10 Posted by HomeCEOGazing through steamy window panes, I prepare myself for the onslaught of muddy feet, wet plastered hair and the necessary messiness that is..."draining the pool during Florida's dark, heavy storms". The pool water is mischeviously licking the edge of our red pavers, now bright and slick with rain. I am sure they are laughing as they certainly have me cornered, as my knight in shining armour is currently slaying dragons in the field while I'm tending to the homefront. The first time I was forced to master the art of pinching a cell phone to my ear, while balancing a... read more
